Ski Trip!

On Christmas Day, we left for our long drive to Snowmass!  Wow, it had just started snowing in Dallas that afternoon, and so the roads were slick all the way there.  Cary was our fearless leader, and we made it to the edge of Texas by the end of the night.  The 2nd day of driving was even more perilous, as our window kept fogging up and the weather was even more crazy as we approached Aspen.  But we got there...lots of prayers, lots of patience, and lots of snacks!!

As soon as we arrived, the boys wanted to get in their snow gear and play in the snow.

Mimi was already there, and she made snow ice cream!
 Woody Creek- our favorite!
Elijah skied for the first time this trip!!  Yay Elijah!  All 3 boys did a great job in their ski schools.
Of course we had a lot of fun hang out times at the house.

When the boys were in ski school, we had some fun grown-up time too!
There were some Christmas presents left to open...this one was labeled by Jaron "the coolest thing ever"....it was a bow and arrow from the Dollar Store.  :)
Baby Penguin chocolates to Daddy from Lishy!
 More playing in the snow!

Grammy and Baw Paw had given us these Christmas pajamas with our names on them and it was so fun to wear them all together!!

We made our annual Christmas cookies in the shapes of a Star, a Cross, and a Crown.

 New Year's Eve!

Jaron found this icicle "sword" outside!
We made these superhero masks and capes for Jaron's stuffed "guys."  He loves these stuffed animals with the big eyes.

Cary and I got to share a great Anniversary dinner at Eight K on the night before we left.  It was so good, and a great way to end our trip!
