Fall 2012

We got a membership to the Dallas Zoo and took the boys there one day this fall.

I think this might have been Elijah's first horsey ride.  :)

My first camel ride- with all 3 of the boys!

Petting the camel!
Jaron with a rhino

This is Jaron right next to the baboons- those are currently his favorite animal.  You can see a baboon in the picture below and then below that a close-up of him.

Next to a lion perched in the sun.
Jordan feeding a giraffe!
The 3 boys by a leopard- Jaron's 2nd favorite animal- he LOVES animals.

Elijah's favorite animal is an elephant- he has several stuffed animal elephants at home which he calls all of them "Elie."
Here is a picture of Jaron and I outside the circus tent at Cirque du Soleil.  I took him to the "circus" on a Mommy-Jaron date!  He absolutely loved it.  He kept asking, "what's next, Mommy!?!"
We got Cirque hats to bring back for he and Elijah.
The next week I took Elijah on a Mommy-Elijah date to the Arboretum!  He loved the pumpkin houses and he got his face painted with Spiderman!

One afternoon the boys wanted to do a craft and so we made a bunch of pumpkins with silly faces to "get ready for Halloween."
A regular morning at home eating oatmeal...
Here are a few pictures of Jaron with his soccer team, the "Fireballs."  He is easy to identify because he usually wears a white headband.

At 5, Jaron has started to make his bed (almost) every day.  Here he is with his bed made and all his little stuffed animals organized.  :)
Warriors...
In Jaron's kindergarten class, the kids did a Solar System Play- each kid got to be a planet.  Jaron was the EARTH!!!  They each created a costume and said 3 facts about their planet.  We were SO proud of Jaron.  His 3 facts were: 1. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." 2. The earth is the 3rd planet from the sun, and 3. The earth has plants, animals and people.  He said all 3 facts so well and so confidently!  His earth costume was really cool, and we even painted his hair green to look like grass.  Then we put some bugs and snake toys in his hair to show that the earth has animals.  It was definitely a highlight of this fall.

Here is a cute picture of Jordan from this year!  He is so handsome!
Here are a couple of pictures of the boys with their friends at a birthday party.

Here's Elijah with his Kickstart Soccer class.  He LOVES it.  He smiles and runs around the whole time.

Elijah with some rescue heroes.
Elijah getting his hair cut.  Bye bye bowl cut!  He's getting to be such a big boy!

Elijah's 3rd Birthday

On October 6th, Elijah turned 3!!  Here he is helping me make cupcakes for his class birthday time.
Grandaddy came to visit and bring him some birthday gifts, including Superman pajamas!
Here are the birthday cupcakes we made for his class.  He chose them himself out of a cupcake book we have.  He just loved these little scarecrow guys!
Here he is with his classmates pre-cupcake time.
Mmmm, mmmmmm, mmmmmm!!!!  (He says that.)

Ms. Shelley helping him pour a little milk.
 Elijah's friends Jax and Joshua
 Happy with Daddy!
These are the cute little party favor boxes we had for his Superhero Party at McDonalds.
Each one had a Superhero Lollipop and a Superducky.

Also these were some Superhero "apple cozies" I made for the kids to take home from the party.  They turned out so cute, and useful for holding apples!
The boys getting excited for Elijah's birthday!

Elijah's birthday morning- having a muffin (with M&Ms and a candy corn of course!)
Setting up the party at McDonald's- this was one of the best kid parties we have ever had.  SO easy and the kids loved it!

Jordan and Daddy helping of course!
He wore this cute little Batman shirt that matched his party invitations.  What a happy boy he is!
Once again, my Mom made this unbelievable Superhero cake.
 Thanks Mimi!

 Jaron, Joshua and (little) Mimi
Here we are about to blow out the candles.  It was nice to have my Mammas and Poppop there to add some harmony to the birthday song!

He hasn't quite mastered the art of blowing out the candles.  So, Jaron took care of it.

SO blessed to have Mimi here!
This little elephant was Jaron's gift to Elijah.  Jaron was so proud to give it to him and Elijah was so happy to get it!
Elijah got some Superhero puzzles from Jordan!  Thanks Bubby!
Jaron also gave Elijah this Batman mask.
Mommy is so proud of her little boys!  Look how handsome they are!
Mimi gave Elijah a Batman costume!

Here are Jaron and Elijah doing some coloring in the new coloring books.
We had ice cream for dessert the night of his birthday.  More treats!  It was an awesome birthday and we love Elijah so much!  What a joy he is and a blessing in our family!  We praise God for what a gift he is!!  Happy Birthday!
