Thanksgiving 2012

Before Thanksgiving, we were able to take Jaron and Elijah to the Arboretum.  The Chihuly Exhibit was there, along with the Pumpkin Patch of course!  We had a great time.

We made these really cute gingerbread turkeys with gingerbread cookies and candy corn.  Fun!
Along with the turkeys we also made some "ninjabread men."  These, of course, were a hit with the boys, and truly I love to decorate any kind of cut-out cookie so it was tons of fun for all of us!

Here is a photo my Mom took on Grandparents' Day at Jaron's school.
Jaron also made some kind of Thanksgiving "mix."  Yum!
This photo doesn't really relate to any of this but it is hilarious!  Look at these wigs!
We spent Thanksgiving Day at our house with Cary's parents, and it was so nice to have them!  I made my first Thanksgiving meal at my own home, and it all turned out great!  We even used our wedding china.  Here are the boys with Cary's Dad, "Baw Paw."
Jaron and Elijah had their own cute little table that they decorated with Thanksgiving turkeys (which said what they're thankful for) and Thanksgiving placecards they made for everyone.

Cary's Mom and Dad!

Cary's parents gave us the cutest pajamas as an early Christmas present.  We had to try them on right away.  The shirts were embroidered with each of our names.  Stay tuned for posts coming up with all of us wearing them on our trip to Snowmass!
My sweet boys!
Thanksgiving weekend we visited my Grandmom in Tyler.  It was fun for us to get her with the boys!

And of course we took a trip to the zoo that weekend as well...

Now we're getting ready for Christmas!!

Halloween 2012

Halloween seems to be a month-long event nowadays...or even longer in our case because our boys just simply like to dress up in costumes year-round!
Jaron made this costume all on his own...with the bow and "arrows" held in the cup attached to his back!
Elijah seems to be phasing out of Toy Story stuff, but a few things remain, like this Woody pajamas set.
In getting ready for Halloween, Jaron really likes for me to take a picture of him WITH the treat he is enjoying, so here are a couple of those pics...

Jaron wore this baby bear costume on his 2nd Halloween, and Elijah can barely fit into it now...makes for such a cute picture!

Being silly
We went to a super-fun Halloween carnival party, and the boys wore these costumes.  Elijah was Batman, and Jaron wore his "Earth" costume from the solar system play he had just done.  We had to use that one at least 1 more time...we worked so hard on it!
Look at how handsome this boy is!  Even with spiders in his hair!

And here are their actual Halloween costumes.  A Ninja and a Power Ranger.  My Mom dressed both costumes up, and as you can see she put an embroidered dragon on Jaron's costume, which turned out so awesome!  Thank you Mimi!

Here are the 3 boys about to go to "Trunk or Treat," our church Halloween party.

Here is Jaron with his Kindergarten class at their Halloween party.

I love this picture.  Look at Elijah.  Hilarious!  This is when Cary carved and decorated their pumpkins with them on the week of Halloween.

Like I mentioned before, my Mom is a huge participant in the boys' Halloween costumes.  She also likes to dress up too!  Here she is with the boys in her Cruela Deville costume on Halloween night.
Cool embroidered dragon on the back of Jaron's Ninja costume.
The boys with their friends on Halloween night about to go trick or treating!

After a lot of fun, and a lot of candy!
Here is what Jordan wore on Halloween night- it is a flag "morph suit."  Pretty awesome!
I had to include this- this is just an old photo of Cary with Jordan at his 1st grade "Pumpkin Play."  When Jaron had his Solar System Play it reminded me of Jordan's Pumpkin Play from several years ago...the boys' first opportunity to hit the stage!  SO cute!
