At the beginning of November, Cary's parents, his sister (Lissa), our brother-in-law (John), and our adorable niece Marisol came to visit us and to welcome the newest Pierce into the family. Here are some pictures from their fun visit!
Here is Grammy riding Jordan's scooter. Go Grammy!

Elijah slept a lot of the time they were here.
Lissa (once a competitive ice skater) took us to the ice skating rink at the Galleria where Jaron tried ice skating for the first time!
Jordan skated circles around most of the kids there.
I think it's fair to say that this was hard work for Cary, not Jaron. Cary had to hold Jaron up the entire time. I guess that's all we can expect from a 2 and a half year old ice skater.
But he had SOOOOO much fun!! Thanks Daddy!
Lissa did the same trick for Marisol. There you can see Cary and Jaron in the background too.
Here is Elijah having a little "tummy time" with Dada.
We went to Mimi's house one night for dinner, and of course Jaron and Marisol had to play Jaron's favorite game, "shirts." This game involves taking each shirt out of Mimi's closet drawer, trying it on, and then throwing it on the floor.

Look at this adorable little face! I can't believe he is old enough to look this alert!
Recently, we've been working on getting Elijah to drink milk from a bottle. So the boys and I were on our way out the door to go to Jaron's "Little Gym" class, where Mimi was going to feed him his first bottle. I had it all prepared, warmed up and everything. The baby was in the carseat, and I had my keys in my hand. Then, Jaron saw the bottle and said, "I wanna feed Lijah his bottle." I told him we were going to the Little Gym and he could feed him another time, but Jaron insisted. As it was one of the first times Jaron has been interested in Elijah, I decided to take the moment to give Jaron his wish. Here are the pictures of the proud big brother who fed his baby brother his first bottle!

Of course, Elijah didn't drink much that first try, but Mimi gave him the rest a few minutes later!
We had a fun night at Creede Hudson's house the other night eating pizza and playing with toys. Cary and Creede were out of town and we made the most of the evening. These two are a couple of jokesters. They laughed and laughed with each other. It was so cute!

Here's Jordan playing with his tiniest brother.
Another shot of the cute little face who is the newest member of our family!

More of Elijah PLUS his first Halloween!

Look at Cary with his 2 little guys!
Very alert and awake
Jordan held Elijah one night and he stopped crying right away. :)
Fun at the park with Grandaddy!

Here is one of Jaron and Curious George at the PCBC Trunk or Treat event. It was about 1 week before Halloween, so it was a good trial run before the "real" Halloween. Jordan taught Jaron how to say, "trick or treat," and they both got a lot of candy. Ever since, Jaron has asked us for his "tricky treats" about once an hour.
Well, here are our 3 boys on Halloween night! A ninja, Tigger, and a dinosaur. Ha!
Mimi came as a kitty cat, and helped us paint faces for Halloween.
In case you couldn't see in the earlier picture, here is our little baby dinosaur with his Mommy.
Cary and Jordan at the HPPC Fall Festival
Here is Jaron with his friend Isabella
Mimi helped Jaron participate in all the events. Here they are playing golf to get a prize.
Here is Jaron with his best friend Ava. She was Cinderella for Halloween, and it was so much fun to have her visit from Galveston!
The whole Pierce family!
Here is a picture of Kyla and I with our new babies...Elijah is almost 4 weeks in this picture, and Micah is about 9 weeks.
After the carnival, we went out to do some real trick-or-treating. Jordan led the way, and he was a really good sport to go with the little kids before he and Cary went off later on to meet some big kids. Jordan came home that night with more candy than I've ever seen...
Here they are waiting for some candy!

This photo was taken at the end of the night when Jaron and Ava were eating MORE sugar. As you can see, they got some pumpkin cookies at Breadwinners for dessert after dinner.

Elijah's First Week

For those of you who are interested, here is a picture of me about an hour before we went into the hospital to have the new baby. I was told to eat only a "light snack," so I'm having some cereal and holding Jaron's soon-to-be new stuffed St. Bernard, "Bernie."
Here are a few more pictures from the delivery room...

Elijah spending some time with his Mimi!
Jaron's first reaction to his new baby brother was...interesting. He was incredibly hyper in the hospital, and we gave him his new stuffed doggy first. Then he pointed to Elijah and said, "what's that?" He answered his own question and said "Elijah! I wanna hold him." So we let him hold his new baby brother, and he spent about 3 seconds doing that before he wanted Elijah to go back in "his bed." We caught this picture in the 3 seconds of Jaron holding Elijah.
Jaron has never been that good at posing for photographs, and so this is the best we could do as far as a picture of Cary and I and the little boys when Jaron visited the hospital that morning. I think Jaron is picking his nose...nice.
So then we moved on to the presents "from Elijah." That seemed to be tons of fun!
Jaron enjoyed playing with his new Mickey Mouse car and fold-up track for the duration of the visit to the hospital. :)
Now, here is a boy that knows how to hold a baby! Jordan came up to the hospital after school on Wednesday and held his tiniest baby brother! Look at how sweet they are together!
Here we are at Jordan's visit to the hospital.
Poppop and Mammas came to see him.
Here is Holly (Gigi) holding him.
Kim got here the next day to see her baby nephew!
Here is Grandaddy with his 3rd grandson!
Creede, Lori and Creede Hudson came to visit too.
Here is Elijah all packed and ready to go home from the hospital.
When we got home, Jaron was ready to REALLY hold Elijah now. Look how proud he is! He has done so well during the last 10 days! I am so proud of all our boys!
Look at that sweet face!
He is definitely enjoying his lamb swing.
So life at home is still just as it has always been! Elijah just needs a scooter, car, bike, etc. I have a feeling he's going to learn to keep up with the other boys pretty quickly... :)
