HAPPY BIRTHDAY JARON!!!!!!

Jaron turned 2 on May 21st!!! He is such a big boy! On his actual birthday, Mimi made this airplane cake for Jaron and his best friend, Ava. We went to Mimi's house, played in the fountain in her courtyard, and ate this cake. It was a blast! When we sang "Happy Birthday," Jaron didn't know what to do with the candle, so Ava helped him blow it out. (She had experience with this birthday stuff a couple of months earlier.) :) Then the kids just got to dig in to the cake. It was a fun evening!

We spent Jaron's birthday party at Smith Park. They have a playground, a sandbox, picnic tables, and we borrowed a mini bounce house so the kids could jump. We got Bubba's chicken, had fruit salad, and rolls. Then of course my Mom (Mimi) made this amazing cake for Jaron with 2 cars on it. It was pretty fun to pick off the oreos, gumdrops and icing. Mmm...

Jaron had a lot of friends come play at the park that evening. Here are a few of his buddies.
Dada playing in the sandbox too!
What a great birthday party!

Fun times, Easter, etc.!

We went to the Museum of Nature and Science one very cold day recently.  The boys loved to play in the water area.  Nothing beats making a mess!
Here is Jaron in the giant sandbox they have.  The kids are supposed to dig for dinosaur fossils, but he just shoveled around the sand.
Here is Jaron smiling with his animals all lined up on the piano keys.
Another very cold day, we went to the flight museum and looked at the airplanes.  Here's Jaron by a helicopter.
Then he got to get in the helicopter!
He needed a little juice break while looking at all these "BIG" airplanes!
One day we went to the Arboretum with Mimi.
Jaron and Mimi having fun!
The most fun was throwing pennies into the water!
More pennies, Mimi!

Here is Jaron at a fun Easter egg hunt at Laurie and Greg's house.
It is also fun to pour out the eggs!
And put them back in!
Mama helped him find some more eggs.
Jordan's Easter basket was really about quantity this year.  He pretty much dominated the Easter scene.  The other kids were all at least 6 years younger than him.  But of course he had a blast!
Here are Jordan's competitors: Caden, Ava, and Jaron.
They were so cute!
Jaron was interested in what was in everyone else's baskets.

Here is Jordan in his acting class play- his name was Joodom, and he was a time traveler!

SNOWMASS!

We had a wonderful Spring Break in Snowmass this year!  Creede & Lori Williams joined us, along with their little guy Creede Hudson.  Also, Jordan brought his friend Witt!

Here are Cary and Jaron enjoying the beautiful day.
Jaron LOVED this store because they had "plee ploks" (lollipops), and candy everywhere!

Cary and Creede with the "busters."

This is Jaron's idea of shopping.

Cary skied with the big boys every afternoon after ski school.
And here's Cary with the little boys!
Jaron wore his rubber boots outside and inside.

Jaron even made a little snowman!
We ate a Woody Creek Tavern twice...so good.
Around the house, Jaron enjoyed watching Elmo with his "doggy."

Catching you up

Well, the big news is that we are expecting another baby Pierce in October!  Yippee!  It has taken me this long to post this because it has taken me this long to feel better!  I think I'm turning a corner now.  :)  So, here are a few pics of some fun and random things that have happened in the last couple of months.  Stay tuned....I will be posting photos of our Spring Break trip to Snowmass very soon!

We went to get Jaron a haircut, and he was not sure about this....
But he got a lollipop (he calls it a "plee plok") so everything was okay!
Mmmmm....
I have a hard time getting Jaron to smile for pictures.  So we worked on it, and this is what he does when we tell him to smile!
I am pretty sure he was smiling because we let him lick the banana pudding straight from the bowl.
Delicious!

Here are a few pictures of Jaron and his friend Connor when Connor came over to play.  Jaron had to learn to share his motorcycle toys and his cars.  :)
One day, Jaron was eating lunch in his high chair, and he told me he wanted some noodles, and so I went to heat them up in the microwave.  By the time I came back into the room (30 seconds later), he was asleep!

These pictures are from Jordan's 100th Day of School.  The kids dressed up like they were 100 years old.  Ha!
Happy Birthday Cary!  We had a wonderful party at my Mom's house.  She made enchiladas and we all had a blast with the Abels and the Williams families.
There was even a kids' table!
